Job summary

NES Fircroft in Sydney is seeking an early-mid career Electrochemist R&D Technician to join an innovative technology development team focused on NdFeB magnet recycling. Based in Alexandria, you will work across laboratory research, electrochemical testing, pilot-scale operations and process development.

You will collaborate with scientists and engineers, prepare samples, run CV/LSV/EIS tests, support pilot-scale trials and help scale new recycling processes while building practical

Qualifications

• Hands-on postgraduate laboratory experience in electrochemistry.
• Ability to follow experimental procedures and record results accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Prepare magnet feedstock, samples, electrolytes and lab solutions.
• Set up and operate electrochemical cells and potentiostat experiments.
• Conduct CV, LSV, EIS and electrolysis tests.
• Support coating removal and pre-treatment studies.
• Assist with pilot-scale reactor trials and process development.
• Monitor and record current, voltage, temperature and data.
• Maintain laboratory records and equipment maintenance.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to achieve goals.
