ComAp Australia in Adelaide is seeking a hands-on Senior Panel Builder to build and wire electrical control panels to Australian Standards, working from schematics and drawings. The role is focused on quality builds and technical autonomy, with no people management.

This is a hands‑on technical role building, wiring and independently testing electrical control panels to current Australian Standards. Internally, this position is referred to as our Senior Panel Builder role, reflecting the level of technical expertise and autonomy required. There's no people management involved, your focus is on quality builds and bringing your expertise to support the wider workshop team.
Build and wire electrical control panels to Australian Standards, working from schematics and technical drawings.
Independently test panels, including functional testing, commissioning checks and fault diagnosis.
Own the quality of your builds and keep documentation up to scratch.
Act as the go‑to person in the workshop for technical guidance and fault‑finding.
Liaise with project managers, engineers and technicians to keep builds on track.
5+ years building and independently testing electrical control panels.
A current South Australian electrical licence (mandatory).
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, including AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN outputs.
Solid grounding in Australian Standards for panel construction.
Good PC skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Interest in ComAp products, PLCs, generators or industrial control equipment.
Strong attention to detail and a results‑driven approach.
Willingness to work outside normal hours occasionally.
