Job summary

Mounties Group is seeking a Permanent Full Time Electrician to deliver electrical trade and maintenance across multiple NSW sites, including Western Sydney, Northern Beaches and Central Coast. The role covers programmed maintenance and repairs in line with group standards.

Key duties include inspecting systems, testing circuits, maintaining licences, planning layouts, drawing sketches, and delivering cost estimates while upholding safety regulations across buildings and assets.

Qualifications

• Electrical license is required.
• Construction Induction Card (WHS White Card) mandatory.
• Current driver's license and ability to travel to venues.
• Must be able to work flexible hours.
• Safety certifications such as Working Safely at Heights are desirable.
• First Aid certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components for hazards and compliance.
• Advise management on potential hazards and safe operation of equipment.
• Test wiring and circuits using meters to ensure safety and compatibility.
• Maintain licences to meet governmental regulations.
• Plan layout and installation of wiring and fixtures per plans and codes.
• Prepare sketches or follow plans to determine wiring locations.
• Use tools and equipment including power tools and testers.
• Keep records and files as part of business management duties.
• Work from ladders, scaffolds and roofs to install or repair wiring and fixtures.
• Construct and fabricate parts as per specifications.
• Perform physically demanding tasks like digging trenches for conduit.
• Provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services.
• Be safety aware and compliant in all areas.

About The Role

We are currently seeking a Permanent Full Time Electrician to provide your expertise across all our Group sites which span from Western Sydney, Northern Beaches and Central Coast.

You will be responsible for the completion of day-to-day electrical trade and maintenance functions for the Group, including programmed maintenance and repair of all Group buildings and assets in accordance with Group requirements and standards.

More Specifically, Some Of Your Key Duties Will Include

• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
• Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters/ voltmeters to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
• Maintain current licences to meet governmental regulations.
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
• Prepare sketches or follow plans to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
• Use a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment.
• Perform business management duties such as maintaining records and files.
• Work from ladders, scaffolds, ewp’s and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Construct and fabricate parts, using hand tools and specifications.
• Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduit and moving and lifting heavy objects.
• Provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services.
• Be Safety aware and compliant in all areas

About You

To be successful for this role, you should have the following:

• Previous experience essential
• Electrical License
• Construction Induction Card (WHS White Card)
• A current driver’s license and the ability to travel to other Venues
• Must be able to work flexible hours
• Working Safely at Heights certification
