MSS Select Services, part of the MSS Group, is hiring an Electrician for projects across NSW, including Sydney. Join a team responsible for installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems in commercial and industrial properties.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

We're on the lookout for a skilled Electrician to join our Select team in Sydney. Our team in NSW is growing, and we have several full-time permeant positions available. These role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of commercial and industrial properties, providing essential safe and efficient installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and services across NSW.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will be required to work 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day. Each week 2 hours accrues towards a Rostered Day Off (RDO). The typical working hours are 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM, however will vary based on client requirements.

You will be responsible for installing and connecting electrical wiring, switchboards, lighting, power systems and electrical equipment, as well as fault finding, testing and carrying out preventative maintenance. You’ll be required to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics and ensure all work complies with safety requirements and applicable electrical codes.

Day to day responsibilities include:

• Install, maintain, test and repair electrical systems, equipment and components.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults, including preventative, reactive and emergency maintenance.
• Read electrical drawings and ensure all work complies with Australian Standards, legislation and safety requirements.
• Conduct testing, inspections, hazard identification and maintain accurate service documentation.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and supervisors while maintaining tools, equipment and vehicles in safe working condition.

REQUIREMENTS

• Electrician certificate III/ Electrical Licence or equivalent
• Construction Induction Card (White Card)
• Driver Licence required
• Ability to obtain police clearance and working with children check
• Valid work rights in Australia
• Proven experience in electrical installations, with a strong understanding of equipment and components.
• Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints
