Job summary

Service Stream is expanding its Defence division, offering permanent full-time LV and HV electrician roles across South Australia, including Edinburgh, Keswick and Woomera. You will ensure safe operations, maintenance and repair of LV/HV systems at multiple defence bases in the region.

The ideal candidate has LV electrical experience, Defence familiarity, strong safety knowledge and a valid driver’s licence, with eligibility for Defence clearance.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in working with LV electrical systems.
• Familiarity with Defence operations and the responsibilities of the Electrical Operating Authority.
• Proven ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical faults and issues.
• Experience in maintaining accurate records and documentation.
• Strong understanding of Health and Safety regulations and best practices in an electrical environment.
• Relevant trade qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Australian Citizenship and ability to obtain Defence Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conducting routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on LV electrical systems and equipment.
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical faults and issues, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.
• Installing and commissioning electrical systems, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Working closely with the EU Supervisor to coordinate and prioritise tasks and projects.
• Ensuring all work is carried out safely, adhering to Health and Safety regulations and best practices.
• Maintaining accurate records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs conducted on electrical systems.
• Providing technical support and guidance to other team members and stakeholders as required.
• Participating in training and development programs to stay up-to-date with industry standards and advancements.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

About the role

You will ensure the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of Low Voltage (LV) and High Voltage (HV) electrical systems across multiple defence bases in the region.
