Job summary

RINEX Integrated Power is seeking competent Electricians for our Leichhardt-based team with Sydney metro work sites. Work involves standby diesel generator systems, building shutdown testing, and generator control systems including PLCs.

Senior electricians will lead a small team and collaborate with Engineering, with weekend/night shifts and overtime opportunities available for larger projects.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified electrician with practical experience in electrical systems.
• Experience with standby generator controllers and testing is essential.
• Able to read schematics and sequence diagrams to fault-find and diagnose.
• Willing to work autonomously and in a small team, with weekend/night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Major & Minor Backup Generator System upgrade projects.
• Building shut-downs and AFSS generator testing.
• Senior electrician in a small team working with Engineering.
• Diagnose and repair Generator Controllers & PLC faults.
• Weekend and night work twice a month (minimum).
• Overtime opportunities for building shutdown testing.

About the role

RINEX Integrated Power is seeking competent Electricians to join our growing team based in Leichhardt with greater Sydney metro-based work sites.

Works relates to Stand-by Diesel Generator electrical systems, whole commercial building black out testing, repairs and upgrades, generator control systems including Auto Transfer Switch, PLC’s and other associated switchgear.

Tasks and responsibilities

Major & Minor Backup Generator System upgrade projects

Building Shut-downs and AFSS (fire systems) Generator Testing

Senior electrician in a small team - work directly with our Engineering Department

Generator Controllers & PLC fault finding & testing/diagnosis & repairs

Weekend and night works twice a month (minimum)

Plenty of work opportunities including overtime works available for building shutdown testing

Skills and experience required

Sound ability to read and follow schematics and single line diagrams

You need a practical Tradesman like work history and be able to use tools

Happy to work autonomously to problem solve but also possess the skills to direct and work in a small team

Practical experience with programming and set-up of standby generators controllers including Deepsea, Cummins, CAT & Woodward a positive

Have an interest in Control systems wiring, telemetry and generator systems.

License requirements

Reside in Sydney / Visa Sponsorship available

Full NSW driver’s license and be able to drive a manual vehicle as this is company vehicle requirement
