Job summary

Komatsu is seeking an HV Electrician to work on-site at Curragh North in a mining environment, providing electrical maintenance and reliability for Komatsu equipment and ensuring safe, efficient operation. You will diagnose faults, perform planned maintenance, and support equipment performance while following safety standards.

The role offers a 7:7 roster, annualised salary with super, meals and accommodation, and a resident allowance for Emerald residents.

• Complete electrical maintenance, repairs and fault-finding on Komatsu equipment
• Diagnose electrical and high voltage faults and identify practical solutions
• Work safely within the Curragh North customer site environment
• Complete inspections, testing and maintenance to required standards
• Maintain accurate job documentation and records
• Collaborate with customer and Komatsu teams to support equipment reliability
• Identify and escalate equipment or work-related issues as needed
• Adhere to Komatsu Golden Rules and site requirements

Job description

As an HV Electrician, you will work on-site at Curragh North, supporting the electrical maintenance and reliability of Komatsu equipment within a mining environment.

This is a gate-to-gate position, giving you the opportunity to work directly alongside the customer and play an important role in maintaining equipment safely and reliably.

You will use your electrical and high voltage experience to diagnose faults, complete maintenance activities and support the ongoing performance of Komatsu equipment on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete electrical maintenance, repairs and fault-finding on Komatsu equipment
• Diagnose electrical and high voltage faults and identify practical solutions
• Work safely and effectively within the Curragh North customer site environment
• Complete inspections, testing and maintenance activities to required standards
• Maintain accurate job documentation and records
• Work closely with customer and Komatsu teams to support equipment reliability
• Identify and upscale equipment or work-related issues where required
• Maintain high standards of safety and comply with Komatsu Golden Rules and site requirements
• Continue developing technical capability through Komatsu training and development

Roster: 7:7 Roster - 12.5 hour days
Annualised Wages: Highly competitive annualised salary + super + meals & accommodation
(Additional to the above, is a $200 per week resident allowance for employee's located/residing in the Emerald)Role Located: Site based at Curragh North - this is a gate-to-gate position
