Job summary

Catalyst Metals is seeking a qualified Electrician to perform electrical maintenance and installation tasks across surface mining operations at the Plutonic Gold Mine in Western Australia. You will work under the Electrical Supervisor – Fixed Plant, adhering to OHS&E and company standards while supporting plant equipment and infrastructure.

The role offers a permanent full-time position with an attractive salary package and short term incentives.

Qualifications

• Electrical Trade Qualification completed and WA C-class licence current.
• Minimum 3 years of electrical experience on a mine site.
• Tickets: Working at Heights and Confined Space; HV switching; awareness of Mine Safety Regulations.

Responsibilities

Job description

Catalyst Metals owns and operates the Plutonic Gold Mine in the Eastern Gascoyne region of Western Australia. The Plutonic Gold Mine produces 85koz of gold annually. The Company also holds the Four Eagles Gold Project in Bendigo.

Over the next 12 to 18 months, the Company plans to bring three new mining areas at Plutonic into production.

Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor – Fixed Plant, the Electrician is responsible for completing electrical maintenance and installation tasks in all surface operations (including the village), by ensuring all work practices/procedures meet statutory, Company OHS&E and Company operational standards within the Surface Maintenance Department.

The ideal candidates will have:

• Electrical Trade Qualification
• Minimum 3 years of Electrical experience on a mine site
• Current “C” Class Western Australian Drivers Licence
• Working at Heights and Confined Space Ticketed
• Demonstrated application of safe working procedures and inspectiontechniques
• Sound understanding of Fixed Plant maintenance principles and their application in practice
• Sound knowledge of the operation of fixed processing plant equipment
• HV switching ticket
• Awareness of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations
