Job summary

QA Electrical is seeking an experienced A-Grade Electrician to join our Geelong team, based at East Burwood, delivering day-to-day electrical service and maintenance across a major education facility.

You'll work in a professional environment with a strong safety culture, supporting apprentices and collaborating with client representatives while ensuring reliable, compliant systems and high-quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Victorian A-Grade Electrical Licence is essential.
• Open Cablers licence required or able to obtain.
• Current Driver's Licence is essential.
• Experience in commercial service and maintenance environments is required.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in an education setting with professional presentation.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• Willingness to complete pre-employment medical.

Responsibilities

• Deliver day-to-day electrical service and maintenance across the campus and related sites.
• Fault finding, repairs and reactive maintenance.
• Preventative maintenance and compliance works.
• Assist with small projects, upgrades and installations.
• Liaise with facility stakeholders and end users.
• Complete job records through job management systems.
• Collaborate with QA Electrical team and client representatives.

About the Role

Based at a leading education facility in East Burwood, you'll be responsible for delivering day-to-day electrical service and maintenance activities across the campus and other Campus’ related to the client.

Your responsibilities will include:

• General electrical and communications service and maintenance
• Fault finding, repairs and reactive maintenance
• Preventative maintenance and compliance works
• Small projects, upgrades and installations
• Liaising professionally with facility stakeholders and end users
• Completing job records and documentation through job management systems
• Working collaboratively with the QA Electrical team and client representatives
• Identifying opportunities for improvement and future works
• Supporting apprentices and team members where required

What We're Looking For

• Victorian A-Grade Electrical Licence
• Open Cablers license
• Current Driver's Licence
• Experience in commercial service and maintenance environments
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Professional presentation and ability to work within an education environment
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical

As this role is based within an education facility, successful applicants must be willing to obtain:

• Current Working With Children Check
• Police Check

Both checks will be arranged and funded by QA Electrical prior to commencement if required.
