Job summary

Kilcoy Global Foods is seeking Qualified Electricians for permanent, full-time roles in a fast-paced beef production environment. Duties include preventative and breakdown maintenance across agricultural, production, refrigeration, biomass boiler settings.

You will work with the production team to optimise equipment, contribute to capital projects, and maintain a strong safety culture in a 24/7 operation. Queensland-based roles with shift work and good pay.

Qualifications

• Queensland recognised Electrical Trade certificate IV or licence essential.
• Certificate III in Instrumentation & Control is required.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot and fault-find at a high level.

THE OPPORTUNITY
FULL TIME

Kilcoy Global Foods currently has permanent opportunities for Qualified Electricians to join our team in a fast-paced, 24/7 beef production environment. Work environments will vary from agricultural, production, refrigeration, biomass boiler.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Preventative and breakdown maintenance activities, with a strong focus on a preventative approach.


• Contribution of ideas and input to improved systems, procedures and maintenance.


• Engage with the production team to optimise the performance of all equipment on a daily basis.


• Assist in capital and continuous improvement projects as directed.


• Maintain a strong focus on health and safety.


• Understand the urgent nature of the business and manage competing priorities.


• Prioritise urgent repairs of equipment.


• Understand the importance of troubleshooting and problem solving.


• Coordinate and collaborate with contractors as well as other departments regarding reliable maintenance of the various sections of the plant.

ROSTER

• Night Shift | 15:30 - 12:30 am


• Day Shift | 5.00 - 17:00


• Lifestyle roster, work 60 hours, 24 hours, 36 hours, 48 hours over the 4-week period.

RENUMERATION

• Day shift $65.00 per hour. Plus, shift allowance and overtime.

ABOUT YOU

• A current Queensland recognised Electrical Trade certificate IV or licence essential.


• Certificate III in Instrumentation & Control.


• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.


• Proven knowledge of work health & safety, safety regulations, codes and practices in the workplace.


• Strong mechanical aptitude.


• A high standard of communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to work as part of a team or autonomously being proactive and efficient.


• Promote and drive a positive customer service attitude.


• High level fault finding and problem solving skills.


• Knowledge and experience of Citect/SCADA highly regarded.


• Modern control systems including VSDs, soft starters and PLC controls systems highly regarded.


• Driver's licence and reliable vehicle or reliable means of getting to work.
