Job summary

PowerLink Solutions in Mount Kuring-Gai, Sydney, invites three Electrical Apprentices to begin a hands-on career with a BMCS-focused Australian-owned company. You will combine on-site work with TAFE attendance and, on completion, become a qualified electrician.

Responsibilities include assisting with wiring, preparing materials, reading drawings and using hand tools safely, while maintaining WHS compliance. A pathway to a long-term role awaits.

Qualifications

• Certificate II pre-vocational qualification in the electrical field or related work experience is highly regarded.
• Experience from school, hobbies, sport or casual work showing reliability and problem-solving.
• Commitment to safety and completing apprenticeship training.

Responsibilities

• Assist with assembling, installing and wiring electrical equipment under supervision.
• Prepare materials for daily jobs, pull cables, cut brackets and assist tradespeople as directed and under supervision.
• Read and follow technical drawings, instructions and work procedures.
• Learn to use hand and power tools, electrical testing equipment and measuring devices safely and correctly.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and comply with work health and safety (WHS) requirements.
• Attend apprenticeship training and complete logbooks and workplace documentation, using computers or tablets as required.
