Job summary

iPower Electrical & Data is seeking a motivated Apprentice Electrician to start or continue a career in the electrical trade. You will work alongside qualified electricians on residential, commercial, and industrial projects while completing your formal training.

This role offers on-the-job training, support to complete your apprenticeship and gain certification, opportunities for career progression, and a friendly, supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in starting an electrical trade career.
• Willingness to learn and take direction under supervision.
• Good problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Basic math and technical aptitude are beneficial.
• Reliable, punctual and team-oriented.
• White Card or willingness to obtain one.
• Driver's licence and reliable transport preferred.

Responsibilities

About the Role:

You will work alongside qualified electricians to gain hands-on experience across residential, commercial, and/or industrial projects while completing your formal training.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist licensed electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems
• Learn to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
• Use and maintain tools and equipment safely
• Carry out basic wiring, testing, and fault-finding tasks under supervision
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment
• Attend and complete all required TAFE/training components of the apprenticeship
