Job summary

Engineeringtradesaustralia is seeking an experienced Electrician for an assignment in Newman, Western Australia.

You will perform electrical maintenance, fault finding and repairs to keep plant and equipment safe and operational on site. The role requires a WA Electrical Licence, a trade qualification, and a current driver’s licence, with mining/industrial site experience preferred.

• Australian-recognised electrical trade qualification.
• Previous mining, industrial or site-based experience.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen.
• Ability to work effectively within a site-based team.

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrician for an opportunity based in Newman, Western Australia, commencing 23 September.

Newman, WA | 8:6 or 7:7 Roster | $84.35/hr | Start 23 September | Temp/Casual

About the Role

Working as part of the site team, you will be responsible for electrical maintenance, repairs and fault finding to ensure plant, equipment and electrical systems remain safe and operational.

Duties may include:

• Preventative and breakdown electrical maintenance
• Fault finding and diagnostics
• Electrical repairs and installations
• Inspections, testing and troubleshooting
• Maintenance of electrical equipment and infrastructure
• Completing relevant maintenance documentation
• Working in accordance with site safety procedures and electrical standards

What We're Looking For

To be considered, you will ideally have:

• Current WA Electrical Licence
• Australian-recognised electrical trade qualification
• Previous mining, industrial or site-based experience
