Job summary

Gold Fields' Granny Smith operation in WA is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to support underground electrical and communications infrastructure. You will fault-find, maintain and repair HV/LV systems, underground equipment, and surface infrastructure while maintaining high safety standards.

The role is a permanent position with FIFO from Perth, offering a competitive salary, site allowance, private health insurance allowance, and quarterly bonuses.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade qualification with HV switching certification.
• Current C Class Manual Driver's Licence.
• Current LVR/CPR certification.
• Extensive underground electrical maintenance experience across mining equipment and surface fixed plant.

Responsibilities

• Carry out fault finding, maintenance and repairs across HV and LV systems.
• Maintain underground electrical and communications infrastructure.
• Service pumping and ventilation networks and key surface infrastructure.
• Uphold high safety and housekeeping standards.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Coordinator Electrical, you will support the safe and reliable operation of underground electrical and communications infrastructure at our owner-operated Granny Smith Gold Mine. In this role, you will carry out fault finding, maintenance and repairs across HV and LV systems, underground equipment, pumping and ventilation networks, and key surface infrastructure while maintaining high safety and housekeeping standards.
