Job summary

Downer invites applications to join our permanent workforce at RAAF Scherger as an Electrician. You will undertake electrical maintenance, repair and inspection tasks to keep base systems safe and compliant, delivering high quality trade services and maintaining WHS standards.

You\'ll bring a Certificate III in Electrotechnology and an Electrical Licence QLD, plus post-trade experience in facilities or electrical maintenance.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Electrotechnology required.
• Electrical Licence QLD required.
• Electrical Testing and Tagging Certificate and White Card (desirable).
• Current Open Drivers Licence required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical maintenance, repair and inspection tasks to keep base systems safe and compliant.
• Deliver high-quality trade services, maintain WHS and environmental compliance, and collaborate with other trades and service providers to support PAS delivery.
• Provide responsive and professional trade services to internal and external stakeholders.
• Focus on improving longevity of fixed plant & equipment.
• Maintain clear, professional communication regarding works and outcomes.

What You'll Do

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

• Responsible for undertaking electrical maintenance, repair and inspection tasks to ensure the safe and compliant operation of electrical systems and equipment across the base.
• Deliver high quality trade services, maintain WHS and environmental compliance, and work collaboratively with other trades and service providers to support PAS delivery
• Provide responsive and professional trade services to internal and external stakeholders
• Focusing on improving the longevity of fixed plant & equipment
• Maintain clear, professional communication regarding works and outcomes

What You'll Bring

• Certificate III in Electrotechnology
• Electrical Licence QLD
• Electrical Testing and Tagging Certificate and White Card (desirable)
• Current Open Drivers Licence
• Post-trade experience in facilities or electrical maintenance and experience in electrical systems inspection, repair and preventative maintenance
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance (Australian citizenship is mandatory).
