Job summary

CleanCo, a Queensland Government-backed low-emission energy generator and retailer, seeks an Electrician for Swanbank Power Station. You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical plant, diagnose faults and support outages, while ensuring safe work practices and coordination with internal teams and contractors.

Ideally you have at least five years of electrical trade experience, a Queensland Electrical Workers licence, and exposure to power generation environments.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade certificate or equivalent is required.
• Queensland Electrical Workers licence or recognised equivalent.
• At least five years of electrical trade experience.
• Maintenance experience in power generation, heavy industry or complex processing.
• Experience using maintenance systems and completing work orders.
• Current manual C Class driver licence.
• Instrumentation and control experience is highly regarded.
• EEHA, HVIA, EWP or similar post-trade qualifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Complete preventative and corrective maintenance across electrical plant and equipment.
• Diagnose faults and resolve complex plant and equipment issues.
• Support plant inspections, modifications, shutdowns, restarts and planned outages.
• Complete SAP notifications and work orders accurately and on time.
• Apply Safe Work Systems and controls to every task.
• Supervise contractors and ensure high-quality work on site.
• Identify practical improvements to systems, processes and work practices.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, maintenance and service providers.

What you'll contribute to

Reporting to the Maintenance & Site Services Superintendent, the Electrician role is a part of a multidisciplinary site based team. Your work will support safe operations, reliable generation and long‑term plant performance.

In this role you will:

• Complete preventative and corrective maintenance across electrical plant and equipment.
• Diagnose faults and resolve complex plant and equipment issues.
• Support plant inspections, modifications, shutdowns, restarts and planned outages.
• Complete SAP notifications and work orders accurately and on time.
• Apply Safe Work Systems and appropriate controls to every task.
• Supervise contractors and support safe, high-quality work across the site.
• Identify practical improvements to systems, processes and work practices.
• Work with operations, engineering, maintenance teams and service providers.

This is a permanent, full-time role based at Swanbank Power Station.

On your first day you will have:

• A recognised electrical trade certificate.
• A Queensland Electrical Workers licence or recognised equivalent.
• At least five years of electrical trade experience.
• Maintenance experience within power generation, heavy industry or complex processing.
• Experience using maintenance systems and completing work orders.
• A current manual C Class driver licence.
• Instrumentation and control experience will be highly regarded.
• EEHA, HVIA, EWP or other post-trade qualifications are also desirable.
