You will work closely with the Health Service Managers, Plumber, Carpenter and Handymen across six locations, with support from Maintenance Administration.
As the Electrician, you will be responsible for responding to maintenance work requests through the maintenance software system, prioritising tasks appropriately and ensuring work requests are updated with detailed information, including start and finish times, materials used and costs.
You will perform BMS monitoring, air conditioning and refrigeration repairs, including diagnosing faults, liaising with suppliers regarding parts and repairs, and maintaining and ordering replacement components. You will also carry out inspections, preventative and corrective maintenance across Hospital and Community Health Service Centres, within your training, skills and competence.
You will work in conjunction with other trades on daily maintenance activities, new projects and refurbishment of existing buildings. You will also report on breakdowns, rectification and planned preventative works, contributing to continuous improvement and the elimination of system failures and defects to minimise disruption to essential services and patient care.
The role also involves estimating and ordering materials in accordance with the HNE Health ordering process and ensuring all work is completed in line with applicable BCA requirements, Local Authority requirements and Australian Standards.
You will undertake training to develop your maintenance skills and knowledge and complete HNE Health mandatory requirements. Other duties may be undertaken as directed by Maintenance Department management, where your skills permit.
You will have knowledge of, or be willing to learn, the BMS system.

Trade qualifications in Electrical, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration and a current NSW electrical licence.
