FTI Group in Goulburn is seeking a skilled Electrician to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will ensure efficient operation and maintenance of electrical systems, maintaining safety standards and optimising processes within our facility.

This Full-time Permanent Associate role requires a trade certificate, extensive industrial electrical knowledge, PLC/HMI familiarity, and a commitment to health and safety in an environment with machinery and automation.

Formación

• Possess a recognized trade certificate as an Electrician.
• Extensive knowledge of Industrial electrical, covering all aspects of machinery, sensors, safety systems, upgrades and repairs.
• Experience in Industrial Automation is required.
• Knowledge of programming basic PLC systems including modification as necessary.

Responsabilidades

• Install and maintain electrical systems to machinery including upgrades to existing equipment.
• Install new equipment, including new sub-boards and general industrial building circuits.
• Prevent breakdown of electrical systems by routinely inspecting and maintaining equipment.
• Carry out non-electrical general machinery maintenance as scheduled and any urgent after-hours breakdowns.
• Travel interstate may be required.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.

Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our manufacturing team based in Goulburn. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of electrical systems within our operations facility. This position is vital for maintaining safety standards and optimising processes, contributing to the overall success of our operations.

Responsibilities:

• Install and maintain electrical systems to machinery including upgrades to existing equipment
• Install new equipment, including new sub-boards and general industrial building circuits.
• Prevent breakdown of electrical systems by routinely inspecting and maintaining equipment
• Carry out work of a non-electrical nature in order to maintain equipment and machinery
• Carry out non-electrical general machinery maintenance as scheduled and any urgent after-hours breakdowns
• Integrate quality, environmental and safety performance into all functions and activities undertaken
• Travel interstate may be required
• Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.

Qualifications:

• Possess a recognized trade certificate as an Electrician
• To have extensive knowledge of Industrial electrical, covering all aspects of machinery, sensors, safety systems, upgrades, repairs and the like.
• Extensive knowledge of PLC controllers, HMI’s, detailed machinery circuits, IT systems integrated into machinery.
• Experience in Industrial Automation is required
• To have good understanding of programming basic PLC systems including modification as necessary
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to diagnose and fix electrical issues
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects
