Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. in Darwin is seeking an Electrician to perform general electrical preventative maintenance and corrective repair across client sites, with a 7.30am start and 4pm finish, and 2pm finish on Fridays.

The role involves working with the maintenance planner and technicians to develop service programs, order materials, and ensure compliance with building codes. A strong focus on lighting systems maintenance and safety is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in repairs and maintenance of electrical assets and systems in a commercial environment.
• Testing and inspection of assets and systems.
• Relevant and valid OH&S cards.
• Strong understanding of AS 3001.
• Valid Driver's Licence (Australia).

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical preventive maintenance and corrective repairs across client sites.
• Collaborate with maintenance planner and technicians on daily planning and service programs.
• Carry out day-to-day repairs and record maintenance work.
• Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of building systems.
• Review work orders and estimate time/materials to complete tasks.
• Order materials and supplies as needed to complete tasks.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment systems.
• Inspect new installations for code compliance and safety.
• Maintain lighting systems; replace bulbs and fixtures.
• Respond to emergency situations and coordinate needed assistance.
• Comply with codes, regulations and safety directives.

Here's a snapshot of your day:

• This role will perform general electrical preventive maintenance and corrective repair of assets and building systems across our client sites.
• As well as day to day maintenance support this role will work with the maintenance planner and the technicians to include the day-to-day planning, implementation, coordination and management of our technical resources including the development of service programs to support our client's requirements.
• Perform assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance and complete maintenance and repair records
• Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems
• Review assigned work orders and estimate time and materials needed to complete repair.
• Order necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment systems.
• Inspect new installation for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Maintain lighting systems throughout client facility, cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps.
• Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
• Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience in repairs and Maintenance of electrical assets and systems ideally within the commercial sector
• Critical environment experience would be advantageous
• Experience in Testing and Inspection of assets and systems
• Relevant and valid OH&S cards
• Strong understanding of AS 3001
• Valid Driver's License
