Job summary

CBRE in Darwin seeks an Electrician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical assets across client sites. You will work with the maintenance team to plan, execute and document service programs, and support installations and repairs as needed.

The ideal candidate has hands-on electrical maintenance experience, knowledge of AS 3001, OH&S certification, and a valid Driver’s Licence. Join CBRE’s global facilities management platform with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform general electrical preventive maintenance and corrective repair across client sites.
• Collaborate with maintenance planner and technicians on planning and execution of services.
• Complete maintenance records and assist with troubleshooting and repairs.
• Order materials, assist with installation and modification of building equipment.
• Inspect new installations for compliance with codes and safety regulations.

Here’s a Snapshot Of Your Day

• This role will perform general electrical preventive maintenance and corrective repair of assets and building systems across our client sites.
• As well as day to day maintenance support this role will work with the maintenance planner and the technicians to include the day-to-day planning, implementation, coordination and management of our technical resources including the development of service programs to support our client’s requirements.
• Perform assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance and complete maintenance and repair records
• Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems
• Review assigned work orders and estimate time and materials needed to complete repair.
• Order necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment systems.
• Inspect new installation for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Maintain lighting systems throughout client facility, cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps.
• Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
• Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience in repairs and Maintenance of electrical assets and systems ideally within the commercial sector
• Critical environment experience would be advantageous
• Experience in Testing and Inspection of assets and systems
• Relevant and valid OH&S cards
• Strong understanding of AS 3001
• Valid Driver’s License
