Job summary

Lawrence & Hanson is seeking a Branch Manager to lead a busy electrical wholesale branch in Australia. You will drive profitability, service, and growth while building a high-performing team and sustaining strong local relationships with contractors and customers.

The role focuses on developing a branch business plan, managing operations and P&L, and expanding the customer base through proactive trade sales and excellent counter service. Leadership and product knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical wholesale, trade sales, industrial supply, sales management or a similar customer-facing sales environment.
• You understand trade customers and know how to build trust through service, reliability and product knowledge.
• You are commercially focused, self-driven and confident managing sales, operations and branch performance.
• You are a natural people leader who enjoys coaching, developing and bringing out the best in a team.
• Electrical product knowledge will be highly regarded, but strong trade sales or wholesale experience is also valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a busy electrical wholesale branch with a focus on profitability, service and growth.
• Develop and implement a branch business plan to drive sales, margin and sustainable growth.
• Manage branch operations, including inventory, service standards, safety, compliance and P&L accountability.
• Grow the customer base through proactive trade sales, account management and excellent counter service.
• Lead, coach and motivate branch staff to create a strong, supportive and performance-focused culture.
• Partner with suppliers to ensure customers have access to the right products, advice and solutions.
