Job summary

White Light Electrical in Queensland is hiring for a residential/commercial electrical role on large development projects. You will install site switchboards, conduits, cabling, street lights and NBN equipment, coordinating trenching with crews and liaising with site supervisors to stay ahead of the program.

The ideal candidate holds a Queensland Electrical Mechanic License, Civil/subdivision or street lighting experience, and a Construction White Card.

Qualifications

• Queensland Electrical Mechanic License is required.
• Civil, subdivision, private network or street lighting experience preferred or willingness to move into it.
• Construction White Card required.
• Ability to run your own patch without supervision.

Responsibilities

• Installation of site switchboards, pillars, conduits, cabling, street lights and NBN equipment.
• Organizing and coordinating trenching, scheduling machinery and crews to keep civil works ahead of electrical.
• Liaising daily with site supervisors, builders and other trades to keep works sequenced and on program.
• Working with engineers and technical advisers on private HV network and battery system installations.
• Reading and working from civil and electrical drawings, flagging issues early.
• Keeping site paperwork, pre starts and job records up to date.
• Taking ownership of site quality, safety and presentation.

About the Work

Residential Electrical works on a new large development including but not limited too

New rough ins and fit offs

Data & TV

Solar works

Commercial Electrical works on new large developments including but not limited too

Audio & Video systems, all done in house

Automation systems, all done in house

Large switchboards & distribution boards

Works include but are not limited to installing large site switchboards, conduits, cabling, street lights, pillars and NBN equipment. You'll also be working alongside engineers and other technical advisers on private High Voltage network and battery systems.

The work is diverse, the pipeline is long, and it's a rare opportunity to be part of a large growing business.

What You'll Be Doing

What You'll Bring

Queensland Electrical Mechanic License

Civil, subdivision, private network or street lighting experience — or a strong desire to move into it

Construction White Card

The ability to run your own patch without someone standing over you

Clear, respectful communication with supervisors, clients and your crew

Handy but not essential — we'll train the right person: HV switching, EWP, confined space, LV rescue and CPR, telecommunications/NBN accreditation, or previous experience dealing with the local network authority.
