Job summary

Invenio in Melbourne, Australia, is seeking an experienced Electrical Tester to join the manufacturing team. You will inspect and test switchboards, switch rooms and other electrical products, ensuring safety and compliance with Australian Standards.

This hands-on role requires reading and interpreting electrical drawings, applying AS/NZS 3000 and AS/NZS 61439, and collaborating with workshop, drafting, project management and estimating teams.

Qualifications

• Experience testing switchboards, switch rooms, or similar equipment.
• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Sound knowledge of AS/NZS 3000 and AS/NZS 61439.
• Understanding of electrical testing procedures and safe isolation practices.
• Experience working within an electrical manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test electrical equipment, switchboards and electrical products.
• Conduct testing in accordance with the requirements of each product.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Ensure products comply with relevant Australian Standards, including AS/NZS 3000 and AS/NZS 61439.
• Verify that equipment and components are suitable and fit for purpose.
• Collaborate with workshop, drafting, project management and estimating teams.
