Job summary

AngloGold Ashanti is seeking an Electrical Technician to join the Projects & Infrastructure team at Tropicana Gold Mine in Western Australia. The role covers non-process infrastructure maintenance, minor project execution, and electrical testing to support safe, reliable site operations.

The ideal candidate holds a WA A-grade electrical license, with additional instrumentation or data cabling qualifications being advantageous. Permanent Australian work rights are mandatory.

Qualifications

• A current WA electrical worker’s license (A-grade).
• Certificate IV in Instrumentation is desirable but not essential.
• Data cabling qualifications: Open cabling registration with Cat 5/6 endorsement; ACMA registered.
• CMMS experience, preferably SAP.
• WA Class C driver’s license is required.
• Ability to obtain National Police Clearance.
• Permanent work rights in Australia are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Non-process infrastructure maintenance and repairs.
• Execution of minor project works.
• Conducting statutory electrical testing.
• Daily facility and infrastructure inspections for continuous improvement.
• Fault finding and repairing commercial kitchen appliances and industrial laundry machinery.
• Generator operation and fault finding.
• 3ø test and tag and use of VRD test equipment.
• Maintaining inventory and stock levels.
• Assist other trades within the team.
