AngloGold Ashanti is hiring an Electrical Technician for the Underground Maintenance team at Tropicana Gold Mine. The role is FIFO from Perth and Kalgoorlie, with an 8 days on/6 days off schedule. You will perform repairs, maintenance and installations across underground electrical systems, ensuring safe, timely and cost-effective delivery.

Reporting to the Underground Electrical Maintenance Supervisor. The ideal candidate holds an unrestricted WA Electrical Licence, with underground mining

Qualifications

• Unrestricted WA Electrical Licence is essential.
• Mining or heavy industry electrical maintenance experience is essential.
• Underground mining electrical maintenance experience is preferred.
• Current High Voltage Switching certificate is required or can assist with obtaining.
• Data cabler’s license is advantageous.
• Existing and ongoing Permanent work rights in Australia.

Responsabilités

• Perform repairs, maintenance and installation on motors, VSDs, transformers, substations, panels and distribution boards in underground mine infrastructure.
• Carry out scheduled statutory work safely and efficiently.
• Install and maintain underground reticulation systems for reliable power distribution.
• Conduct breakdown and maintenance on underground drilling equipment to minimise downtime.
• Study plans, drawings and work orders to determine requirements and sequence.
• Be available after hours as part of a rotating call-out roster and respond to equipment breakdowns as required.
• Assist with shutdowns and power isolations coordination.
