Job summary

Top Cut Foods is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join our onsite maintenance team at our Ormeau facility in Australia. You will perform ELV/LV electrical work, fault finding, preventative maintenance and repairs to keep a busy meat processing operation running safely and efficiently.

Ideal candidates have hands-on electrical experience in industrial settings, strong fault-finding skills, and the ability to work with contractors and team members.

Qualifications

• Previous electrical maintenance experience in an industrial environment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Experience with electrical maintenance, servicing and breakdown repairs.
• Ability to safely use power tools.
• Forklift and EWP/scissor lift licences desirable.
• Physical capability to move and work around equipment.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Self-motivated, reliable and responsible.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out ELV and LV electrical work, including basic electronics breakdown repairs, maintenance and servicing.
• Fault find and diagnose electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Respond to breakdowns and complete repairs safely and promptly.
• Maintain equipment and the facility to high standards of presentation and functionality.
• Collaborate with contractors, staff and team members while providing quality customer service.
• Follow workplace health and safety and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrate a flexible and proactive approach to daily maintenance requirements.
