Job summary

Ventia seeks a Maintenance Electrician in Australia to maintain, fault-find, and upgrade ITS and streetlighting as part of the Sydney Roads and Asset Performance contract. The role is permanent full-time, with day shifts and flexible night/weekend coverage on a rotating roster.

Based in Canberra, Albury or Wagga Wagga, travel across surrounding areas is required. You will work autonomously, with on-call duties, training, and opportunities for career progression within Ventia.

Qualifications

• Electrical licence and relevant trade experience (essential).
• Experience with ITS and/or traffic signals (highly regarded).
• Valid driver’s licence (essential), willingness for extensive travel.
• Construction White Card (essential).
• Willingness to provide after-hours support when required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service traffic signals and ITS equipment.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and contract requirements.
• Adhere to OH&S protocols in Ventia policies.
• Participate in on-call and relief service rotations.
• Undertake training to enhance capabilities relevant to the contract.
• Assist with emergency response coordination.
• Contribute to review/improvement of maintenance procedures.
• Support Asset Manager and ITS Asset Engineer in asset planning.
