Job summary

BGIS Technical Trade Services is seeking a qualified Electrical Technician to deliver planned and reactive maintenance across a diverse portfolio of client sites in Fyshwick, ACT. You will inspect and repair electrical systems, including emergency lighting, switchboards, and high-voltage infrastructure, with a modern company vehicle and quality tools provided from day one.

Qualifications

• Must hold Certificate III in Electrotechnology (essential).
• Essential Supervisor's Licence.
• White Card (General Construction Induction).
• Current Australian driver’s licence (essential).
• Experience in commercial maintenance, facilities management or service-based electrical environments.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Experience mentoring apprentices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned and reactive electrical maintenance across client sites.
• Perform repairs and minor works on electrical systems including emergency lighting, switchboards, and HV infrastructure.
• Ensure electrical assets operate safely, efficiently and reliably.
• Work across commercial and industrial environments with quality workmanship.
• Utilise company vehicle, tools and support from experienced team to complete tasks.

The Role

We're seeking a qualified Electrical Technician to deliver planned and reactive maintenance, repairs, and minor works across a diverse portfolio of client sites. You'll play a key role in ensuring electrical systems and assets operate safely, efficiently, and reliably, while delivering exceptional workmanship and customer service. Working across a range of commercial and industrial environments, you'll perform maintenance on electrical systems including emergency lighting, switchboards, and high-voltage infrastructure.
