Job summary

CQUniversity is seeking an experienced electrical trades professional to become an Electrical TAFE Teacher. You will mentor and guide the next generation of electricians while teaching the Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician.

You will help students install, test, fault find, repair and maintain electrical systems in buildings and facilities, with a structured teaching workload and paid preparation time.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade qualification required (Certificate III in Electrotechnology).
• Queensland Electrical Licence or ability to obtain it.
• Current hands-on industry experience in electrical work.
• Interest in mentoring apprentices and working in a structured teaching environment.

Responsibilities

• Teach Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician and mentor students.
• Support students to install, test, fault-find and maintain electrical systems.
• Contribute to assessment, documentation and student support processes.
