Job summary

CQUniversity Mackay region seeks an experienced trades professional to transition into a VET teaching role. You will mentor apprentices, deliver practical instruction and support students in a structured setting, with funded qualification and career development opportunities.

Relocation support is available, with 5.4 weeks annual leave, 17% superannuation, and full-time hours designed to balance teaching, prep and assessment duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology.
• Hands-on industry experience in electrical work and industrial environments.
• Willingness to mentor apprentices and work in a structured teaching setting.

Responsibilities

• Teach and support apprentices in workshop and class settings.
• Plan and deliver assessments, documentation and student support.
• Balance teaching hours with prep and marking within paid workload.
