Job Title: Electrical Supervisor – Slurry Treatment Plant (STP)

Location: Sydney, Australia

Our Client

This company specializes in environmental services and civil construction materials, with a strong presence in Sydney, Australia. Their work includes advanced wastewater treatment and recycling for industrial and municipal clients, as well as the extraction and processing of high-quality sand for construction. They also provide comprehensive waste management and recycling services, turning various industrial and civil waste streams into reusable materials for major infrastructure projects.

Scope

The client is involved in the Western Harbour Tunnel project in Sydney. The role is focused on the Slurry Treatment Plant (STP), which is currently being assembled in caverns near Sydney Bay. Immediate supervision of electrical wiring is needed. The Electrical Supervisor will oversee and support the electrical work for the Slurry Treatment Plant. This is a supervisory and decision-making role, not a hands-on installation position. The work involves supervising electrical activities, including the wiring, installation of cable trays, cable pulling, electrical connections, and testing. The supervisor will also be responsible for configuring instrumentation, network systems, and PLCs.

Key Responsibilities

• Organizing the sequence and planning of wiring activities.
• Managing and controlling the general wiring schedule.
• Supervising all electrical work on-site, including cable trays, cable pulling, and electrical connections.
• Conducting and validating electrical tests.
• Configuring instrumentation, network systems, and PLCs, and supporting PLC commissioning.
• Training operators on electrical systems and electricians for maintenance.
• Managing and coordinating the workforce for wiring.

Qualifications

• No specific electrical certifications are required since the role is supervisory only.
• Must have or be able to obtain an Australian Construction White Card.
• A Working at Heights certification is desirable, and can be obtained locally if needed.
• Experience with Slurry Treatment Plants.
• A strong background in construction and industrial projects is essential.
• Experience with similar process plants (pumps, valves, instrumentation) is also desired.
• Prior exposure to large infrastructure projects is a plus.
