Job summary

Terra Verde Joint Venture is seeking an Electrical Supervisor to oversee on-site electrical works for the Suburban Rail Loop project in Melbourne's eastern suburbs. Reporting to the Electrical Superintendent, you will coordinate daily activities, manage subcontractors, monitor performance and ensure safety, quality and compliance with project standards.

Join a large infrastructure program delivering tunnel and station works and contribute to planning, progress reporting, and hands-on leadership

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Electrical or related discipline with an OHS White Card.
• Extensive experience in construction wiring installations and HV power distribution.
• 2-5 years in a supervisory role on large infrastructure projects.
• Experience overseeing subcontractors and trades on site.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate electrical teams and subcontractors to meet program, safety and quality standards.
• Lead and develop site teams while upholding Terra Verde safety and environmental policies.
• Contribute to planning construction methodologies and short-term work programs.
• Maintain accurate daily records, including progress reports and handovers.
• Review electrical design documentation and provide constructability input.
• Monitor subcontractor compliance with specifications and milestones.
• Assist with budget tracking and assess cost impacts of variations.
• Identify and mitigate risks during site execution.
• Engage with HSE reps and stakeholders to resolve safety issues.

Terra Verde is a joint venture between Webuild, GS Engineering & Construction (E&C) Australia, and Bouygues Construction Australia.

The joint venture combines experienced local personnel with global resources and expertise.

Terra Verde is delivering nearly 10 kilometres of parallel tunnels between Glen Waverley and Box Hill, including 39 cross passages and two station boxes at Glen Waverley and Burwood in Melbourne's eastern suburbs, as part of the Suburban Rail Loop Project.

This is the largest infrastructure project in Victoria's history, shaping Melbourne and Victoria for future generations.

About the Opportunity:

We are currently seeking anElectrical Supervisorto join theTerra Verde Joint Venture. Reporting to the Electrical Superintendent, this role will be overseeing on-site electrical works to ensure safe, timely, and compliant delivery of systems and infrastructure. You'll coordinate daily activities, manage subcontractors, monitor performance, report progress, and lead site teams to meet project specifications and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate electrical teams and subcontractors to meet program, safety, and quality standards.
• Lead by example in implementing Terra Verde's safety, environmental, and quality systems.
• Contribute to planning construction methodologies and short-term work programs.
• Maintain accurate daily records, including progress reports and shift handovers.
• Review electrical design documentation and provide input on constructability.
• Monitor subcontractor compliance with specifications and project milestones.
• Assist with budget tracking and assess cost impacts of variations and changes.
• Identify and mitigate risks proactively during site execution.
• Supervise and develop leading hands, ensuring safety and IR compliance.
• Engage with HSE representatives and stakeholders to resolve safety or employee issues.
• Foster strong communication and relationships with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients.
• Perform all duties in line withTerra Verdepolicies, processes, and procedures.

Key Requirements:

• Ideally, previous experience working in the construction phase of a Tier 1 or Tier 2 Contractor on a major project
• Trade qualification in Electrical or a related discipline and OHS White Card
• Extensive experience with construction wiring installations, including the installation, testing, commissioning of associated tunnelling equipment, such as lighting and communications, High Voltage Power distribution and control systems.
• Additional training or certifications in Construction, Project Management, or Building (desirable)
• 2-5 years' experience in a similar supervisory role on large infrastructure or construction projects
• Proven leadership experience overseeing subcontractors, trades, and direct labour
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and implement technical drawings and design documentation
• Experience with performance management, issue resolution, and site coordination
• Ensuring compliance with all the relevant standards, including, but not limited to AS3000, AS3012, Worksafe Victoria Electrical Installations.
