Job summary

Terra Mining in Western Australia seeks an Electrical Supervisor to lead electrical maintenance across mining operations and camp facilities. You will ensure compliance, optimise equipment performance, and contribute to site safety culture.

You will coordinate day-to-day electrical maintenance, inspections, and fault-finding on machinery, conveyors and generators, while supporting shutdowns and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience as Electrician on mining or heavy industry projects.
• Electrical Supervisor certification is essential.
• WA Electrical Licence – unrestricted.
• Statutory Supervisor Certification (Schedule 26) or working towards.
• First Aid, LV Rescue and CPR.
• Strong understanding of AS:3000 Electrical Wiring Rules.
• Strong understanding of WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022.
• Ability to work in a team or independently with safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical work, isolations, and testing per site procedures and WA Mines Regulations.
• Maintain and fault-find on conveyor equipment, fixed plant, generators and mobile equipment.
• Conduct maintenance and inspections in camp facilities and water pumps.
• Assist with shutdown planning and statutory compliance tasks.
• Maintain records, permits and electrical documentation.

About The Position

Reporting to the Project Director, you will play a critical role in the maintenance department by ensuring the optimal performance of machinery and equipment.

You will support day-to-day electrical maintenance and statutory compliance across busy mining operations and camp facilities.

This role is critical in ensuring the safe operation of infrastructure, minimising downtime, and supporting a strong site safety culture.

Your day-to-day activities will include but are not limited to:

• Perform electrical work, isolations, and testing in line with site procedures and WA Mines Regulations
• Conduct maintenance, inspections, and fault-finding on conveyor equipment, including fixed plant, Generators and mobile equipment.
• Conduct maintenance, inspections within the camp facilities.
• Conduct maintenance, inspections, and fault-finding on bore pumps and plant water supply pumps.
• Assist with planning and execution of shutdowns, and statutory compliance tasks
• Maintain accurate records, permits, and electrical documentation
• Support safe production by working closely with Maintenance, Operations and HSET
• Participate in site safety initiatives, risk assessments and toolbox meetings

What You Will Bring

• Experience as an Electrician on mining or heavy industry projects
• Previous experience as an Electrical Supervisor is essential
• Certification as Electrical in-house nominee is essential
• Current WA Electrical Licence – unrestricted
• A Statutory Supervisor Certification (min Schedule 26) or working towards
• Cert 2 Split System Licence – Or the ability to obtain
• Current First Aid, LV Rescue and CPR
• Certificate IV in Instrumentation is desirable
• Strong understanding of AS:3000 Electrical Wiring Rules
• Strong understanding of AS:3010 Electrical installations – Generating Sets
• Strong understanding of WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022
• Proven ability to work within a team or independently, manage competing priorities, and make sound decisions while maintaining a strong focus on safety, compliance, and productivity.

You must have full Australian working rights, be able to complete and pass a medical assessment (including drug & alcohol screen) and be able to provide a current National Police Clearance (within last 12 months).
