TRP Recruitment is seeking an Electrical Spotter for projects across Melbourne's Western Suburbs. You will monitor clearances around live power lines and underground assets, and help keep civil sites safe while excavators operate.

The role requires an Electrical Spotter Licence (mandatory), a dogman ticket is highly desired, and a valid First Aid/CPR certificate. Strong communication and proactive safety are essential; immediate start available.

We are currently seeking a reliable and safety-focused Electrical Spotter to join our team, working across busy civil and construction sites throughout Melbourne's West. This role is critical in ensuring safe work practices are maintained around live power infrastructure and underground assets, particularly when operating excavators and other plant equipment.

Key responsibilities

Monitor and maintain safe working distances from overhead and underground power lines

Spot and identify underground assets during excavation works

Identify and manage electrical hazards during plant operations

Communicate clearly with operators and site personnel using a radio whistle

Ensure all site safety procedures and compliance standards are followed

About you

Current Electrical Spotter Licence (mandatory)

Dogman ticket (highly desired)

Valid First Aid Certificate and CPR

Own radio whistle

Experience spotting for both power lines and underground assets

Proven experience working around heavy machinery on civil sites

Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to safety
