Job summary

Newmont Corporation is seeking a Supervisor, Electrical Compliance for Tanami mine operations to ensure electrical safety and compliance across maintenance, installations and governance in line with NT legislation, ESMP and Newmont standards. This is a fully FIFO role from Perth, Brisbane, Alice Springs or Darwin.

The role requires a degree in Electrical Engineering, an NT Electrical Work Licence, lead auditor credentials and proven experience in high‑risk mining environments, with a focus on

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Current NT Electrical Work Licence.
• Lead auditor accreditation or auditing qualification.
• Mining or high‑risk environment experience.
• Knowledge of Electrical Safety Act 2022 (NT) and regulations.
• Ability to manage licensing, authorisations and compliance records.

Responsibilities

• Implement risk‑based electrical compliance framework.
• Verify licences, authorisations and competencies.
• Support electrical work with inspection, testing and certification.
• Identify, escalate and close non‑conformances and notifiable events.
• Maintain ESMP alignment with legislation and site procedures.
• Deliver electrical safety education to personnel.
