Job summary

Murrin Murrin Operations is seeking an experienced Electrical Refrigeration Technician to join our established team in Western Australia.

You will perform preventative electrical and refrigeration maintenance, rectify faults, and prepare documentation in a safety-focused, continuous-process mining environment. The role offers a pathway to develop skills within a global metals company and a commitment to safety and training.

Qualifications

• Current and valid WA Electrician's licence.
• ARC Refrigerant Handling licence.
• Manual C class driver's licence.
• CPR First Aid and safety qualifications.
• Knowledge of safe work practices in process plants.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative electrical and refrigeration maintenance.
• Rectify or report breakdowns and carry out isolations.
• Prepare written maintenance documentation.
• Communicate maintenance priorities at shift handover.

Job description

Murrin Murrin Operations has an opportunity for an experienced Electrical Refrigeration Technician to join our established and dedicated team.

Murrin Murrin Operations is Australia’s largest cobalt producer and a major world producer of nickel. Our Murrin Murrin site in WA’s northern Goldfields is an integrated nickel and cobalt mining and processing operation employing over 1,000 people. The Role

The successful person will become a member of a hardworking and committed team who are responsible for the repairs and preventative maintenance of electrical refrigeration equipment on our site.

You will be responsible for:

• Completing preventative electrical and refrigeration maintenance;
• Ensure that electrical and refrigeration breakdowns are rectified or reported for follow up and action;
• Completing isolations and preparation of electrical and refrigeration equipment for maintenance in line with safety standards;
• The preparation and completion of all required written documentation;
• Communicating maintenance priorities at shift handover; and
• Maintenance and repairs on Electrical Equipment within a laboratory, workshops and offices.

About You

This role would suit a skilled Electrical Refrigeration Technician looking to work for our friendly and knowledgeable team with unlimited learning potential.

You will also have:

• A Current and valid Unrestricted WA Electricians licence;
• ARC Refrigerant Handling licence;
• A current & valid Manual C class drivers licence;
• Previous experience working in a similar role and environment under safe work practices;
• CPR First Aid qualification, High Voltage Switching qualification; Safe Work at Heights; Safe Work in Confined Spaces, High Risk Work Licence – EWP and Radiation Safety Isolation Officer Qualification (Advantageous); and
• A good understanding of a continuously operating process plant environment.
