Job summary

Eaton, a leader in power management, is seeking a Project Manager to guide electrical projects in our Australia operations. Based in Sydney, you will lead initiatives from initiation through execution, coordinating with clients, vendors and engineering teams to deliver on time and within budget.

The role requires strong risk, schedule and stakeholder management, practical financial oversight, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in the electrical industry.
• Sound technical knowledge of project systems, tools, and methodologies (e.g., SAP).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly motivated, reliable, and independent team member.
• Strong organization and time-management skills.
• Attention to detail and logical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Deliver projects in accordance with the Eaton Project Management Model.
• Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders and elevate as required.
• Perform risk management and review with PMO manager to minimize project risks.
• Review financial obligations, time bars, bank guarantees and ensure compliance to those requirements.
• Review and discuss technical challenges and gaps with engineering team and ensure it is addressed promptly.
• Convert commercial and technical gaps to opportunities.
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
• Develop a detailed project plan and schedule to track progress and provide fortnightly updates.
• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
• Meets financial objectives by forecasting regularly, updating SAP, and reporting changes to PMO Analyst and PMO manager.
