Wacomm Group in Forrestdale is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager, an electrician by trade, to lead design and construct electrical projects. You will manage project delivery, client relationships, and act as the team's key electrical technical resource, reporting to the Senior Leadership Team, while staying hands-on and ensuring safety and on-time delivery.

This role requires strong knowledge of electrical construction and the ability to coordinate sites, suppliers and budgets

Wacomm Group is looking for an experienced Electrical Project Manager who is an electrician by trade and has a proven track record delivering design and construct electrical projects.

Based at our Forrestdale office, with visits to project sites as required, you’ll lead project delivery, manage client relationships and be the project team’s go-to person for technical advice.
Answering directly to the Senior Leadership Team, this is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who understands electrical construction and can keep people, costs and delivery on track.

The role

Manage electrical design and construct projects valued from $300,000 to $5M from planning and design coordination through construction, commissioning and handover.

Lead project teams, coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, and allocate resources effectively.

Build strong client relationships and manage expectations throughout delivery.

Apply your tendering and estimating experience to prepare and review project pricing.

Identify, price, submit and track project variations.

Manage project budgets, procurement, labor and resources to protect profitability.

Attend project and site meetings, resolve issues and keep stakeholders informed.

Provide high-level technical guidance and practical solutions to electrical design and construction challenges.

Drive safety, quality and compliance across project delivery.

Maintain accurate project documentation, cost reporting and progress updates.

Work alongside consultants to achieve cost effective and functional electrical designed projects.

What you’ll bring

An electrical trade qualification and relevant electrical licensing.

Demonstrated experience managing design and construct electrical projects.

Strong technical knowledge and the confidence to be the team’s key electrical technical resource.

Experience in tendering, estimating, variation pricing and project cost control.

Proven ability to lead teams and manage clients, subcontractors and suppliers.

Excellent people skills, clear communication and a practical approach to problem-solving.

Strong computer literacy and confidence using project management, estimating and business software.

The ability to manage competing priorities and take ownership of project outcomes.

Experience using SimPro, GroundPlan, Procore software packages is desirable but not essential as training can be provided.
