Job summary

South32 is recruiting for an Electrical Project Lead to take end-to-end accountability for assigned initiatives at the Cannington site in northwest Queensland. The role is on a permanent basis with a 8:6 roster, FIFO from Brisbane or Townsville/Cairns, or DIDO from Mount Isa, Cloncurry and McKinlay shires.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering electrical engineering projects in a mining setting.
• Ability to lead multiple workstreams with competing priorities.
• Strong communication to influence diverse stakeholders.
• Sound commercial judgement on cost, schedule and risk decisions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver projects through all lifecycle phases to agreed quality standards.
• Act as the single accountable owner for scope, cost, schedule and risk.
• Establish stakeholder relationships across internal and external partners.
• Maintain disciplined reporting aligned to project frameworks.
