Job summary

ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture seeks a dedicated Project Engineer – Electrical for the Central-West Orana REZ project in NSW. You’ll support design, construction and commissioning of 500kV/330kV assets, coordinating with engineering and site teams to meet safety, quality and schedule targets.

The role includes 14 days on site in camp with 7 days off site on a roster, DIDO arrangement, requiring strong communication and proactive risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 3–7 years’ experience with a Tier 1 contractor preferred.
• Experience with outdoor air-insulated substations at 220 kV or higher.
• Strong problem-solving and communication abilities.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
• Familiarity with project policies and contractual requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with project personnel and external stakeholders.
• Maintain records, schedules and financial tracking of works.
• Attend pre-start, toolbox and site meetings; monitor progress.
• Conduct site walks and ensure timely downtime/non-conformances reporting.
• Support procurement of equipment and manage risk controls.
