Job summary

Design & Build Recruitment seeks an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join a major data centre project in Sydney, delivering HV infrastructure and substation works.

You will work closely with the Project Manager and broader team across engineering, procurement, subcontractor management and project delivery, ensuring milestones, safety standards and quality requirements are met.

The role offers exposure to a Tier 1 contractor with strong career progression in critical infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Proven experience as an Electrical Project Engineer on major construction projects.
• Strong experience with HV infrastructure, substations and related electrical systems.
• Experience in data centre or healthcare infrastructure is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills within a large project team.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering and technical requirements across the HV infrastructure scope of a major data centre project.
• Coordinate design, documentation, submissions and engineering deliverables.
• Collaborate with subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and internal project teams.
• Assist with procurement, programming, cost management and project reporting.
• Ensure HV works meet project specifications, standards, safety requirements and programme.

This is an opportunity for an experienced

Electrical Project Engineer to join a major data centre project, taking responsibility for the delivery of the HV infrastructure and substation components of the project.

You’ll work closely with the Project Manager and wider project team, playing a key role across engineering, procurement, subcontractor management and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
