Job summary

Johnson Controls Brisbane is seeking an Electrical Engineer (Projects & Design) to lead the design and delivery of electrical systems for high-profile projects. You will create drawings, schematics, and calculations while ensuring safety and quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires an electrical trade background or a degree in electrical engineering, at least 4 years of experience, and RPEQ registration or the ability to obtain it.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade background or a Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years' experience in electrical design and project delivery.
• RPEQ registration or ability to obtain registration.
• Strong knowledge of Australian electrical standards and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop low-voltage electrical systems and switchboards.
• Produce engineering drawings, schematics, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Support FAT, commissioning, troubleshooting, and system validation activities.
• Ensure designs comply with AS/NZS, IEC, ANZEx, IECEx requirements.
• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and safety improvements.
• Collaborate with project managers, manufacturing teams, contractors, and customers.
• Provide technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle from concept to commissioning.
