Job summary

Johnson Controls Brisbane is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer (Projects & Design) to lead the design, development, and delivery of low-voltage electrical systems for high-profile infrastructure projects. The role requires rigorous adherence to Australian standards, FAT support, and collaboration with project teams to ensure safe, reliable outcomes.

You will bring an electrical engineering degree or electrical trade background, 4+ years of design experience, and RPEQ eligibility.

Qualifications

Electrical trade background or Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 4 years' experience in electrical design and project delivery.
RPEQ registration, or eligibility to obtain.

Responsibilities

Design and develop low-voltage electrical systems and switchboards.
Produce engineering drawings, schematics, calculations, and technical documentation.
Support FAT, commissioning, troubleshooting, and system validation activities.
Ensure designs comply with Australian and international standards (AS/NZS, IEC, ANZEx, IECEx).
Collaborate with project managers, manufacturing teams, contractors, and customers to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Provide technical expertise from concept through to commissioning.
