Job summary

Cement Australia Railton, Tasmania invites an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join our team. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will drive Capex and Opex projects from concept through commissioning in a major manufacturing environment.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate with procurement, construction and site operations, and apply governance to deliver safe, compliant electrical designs across 22kV, LV, controls and hazardous areas. Strong collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) degree.
• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience, including SCADA and PLC systems in large manufacturing.
• 2+ years in project engineering/management with project values up to $10M.
• Ability to read and modify AutoCAD drawings.
• Proficient in MS Office; MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Proficient in SAP; team role and collaboration with multiple disciplines.
• Budgeting, estimation and cost tracking knowledge.
• Basic familiarity with PMA and PMBOK principles.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety standards on construction sites per CA and legislative requirements.
• Apply governance and assurance for electrical projects.
• Act as electrical SME; mentor engineering staff and share knowledge.
• Manage labour/resource planning and external service providers.
• Develop project specifications within owner boundaries.
