Job summary

BlueScope Western Sydney Service Centre in Erskine Park seeks an Electrical Operator/Maintainer to join the Electrical Maintenance team. You will operate machinery, troubleshoot automation, conduct inspections and support safe, reliable production on the new COLORBOND line.

This role welcomes electricians transitioning from commercial or residential backgrounds and includes comprehensive training. A NSW Electrical License is required and shifts are 12 hours, rotating days and nights.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade qualification and a current NSW Electrical License.
• Commitment to safety and wellbeing and care for others.
• Experience with PLC, Drives, HMI and networks fault-finding, and root cause analysis.
• Experience in industrial manufacturing environments.
• Ability to prioritise work and solve problems in a fast-paced setting.
• Willingness to work a 12-hour rotating day/night shift five days a week.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery and production equipment safely to maintain continuous line performance.
• Contribute to a safe working environment and quality standards.
• Conduct equipment and process inspections identifying issues and underperforming equipment.
• Provide technical support and problem-solving to ensure equipment reliability.
• Fault-find on PLC, Drives, Data Network, HMI and Instrumentation Systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve equipment efficiency and output.
