Job summary

Ora Banda Mining is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to support maintenance of fixed plant and site infrastructure in Western Australia. You will inspect, test, and fault-find electrical systems, assist in planning shutdowns, and ensure compliance with standards to maximise equipment availability.

Required WA Licence - A Grade, trades qualifications, and 3+ years in mining environments. Desirable HV switching, HRWL, EWPs, forklift, and a valid C class licence.

Qualifications

• WA Electrical Workers Licence - A Grade is required.
• Dual Electrical Trades and Instrument Technician is highly regarded.
• Minimum 3 years in a similar fixed plant role in a mining environment.
• Knowledge of electrical legislation and standards.
• Strong instrumentation and control systems experience.
• Experience with electrical schematics, isolation and permit systems.
• High voltage switching certificate desirable.
• HRWL and EWPs beneficial.
• Current C class WA drivers licence desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain fixed plant and site infrastructure daily.
• Inspect and test electrical systems and components for hazards and faults.
• Assist in maintenance plan development.
• Assist in shutdown planning.
• Provide electrical service for unplanned maintenance/breakdowns.
• Fault finding and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with electrical regulations and standards.
• Maintain high equipment availability.
• Provide feedback via work orders and inspection reports.
• Coordinate with Supply and processing teams on electrical items.
• Mentor junior maintenance and trades personnel.
• Attend breakdowns and call-outs as required.
• Ensure equipment meets manufacturer specifications.
• Complete Electrical Log book.
