Job summary

The Innovative Group is seeking an experienced assembler to manufacture and assemble electrical wire harnesses and cable assemblies in our Sydney area facility. You will follow engineering drawings and approved documentation to build high-quality products with accuracy and care.

You will read work instructions, perform cuts and terminations, and complete final assembly while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in manufacturing, production or assembly preferred.
• Electrical assembly or wire harness experience is highly desirable but not essential.
• Good manual dexterity and excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to read and follow work instructions, diagrams and assembly drawings.
• Strong commitment to quality and getting the job done right the first time.
• The ability to work independently while also contributing to a team.
• Strong focus on workplace safety and meeting production requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assembling electrical wire harnesses and cable assembly in accordance with approved documentation.
• Cutting, stripping, crimping and terminating electrical wires.
• Applying sleeving, labels, bundling and completing final assembly.
• Reading and following work instructions, engineering drawings and assembly documentation.
• Conducting in-process and final visual inspections to ensure products meet quality requirements.
• Completing production travellers and other required manufacturing records accurately.
• Identifying and promptly reporting quality issues, material shortages and production concerns.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workstation.
• Ensuring tools and equipment are kept clean, safe and serviceable.
• Following all workplace health and safety procedures, quality requirements and standard operating procedures.
