Job description

The Casino Food Companyis a leading export food processor with production facilities located in Casino and Booyong, near Lismore, in the Northern Rivers area of the NSW Far North Coast.

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Foreperson to join our team at our Booyong, NSW plant. This is a full-time position that offers a rewarding opportunity to lead and manage maintenance operations within our engineering services department. As an Electrical Foreperson, you will play a critical role in overseeing day-to-day maintenance activities, supervising our maintenance team, and ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. This role is essential to maintaining our operational productivity and equipment reliability.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role will include

• Formulate engineering strategies that align with production requirements and the long-term goals of the engineering services department.
• Foster a collaborative and positive culture within the engineering services department.
• Oversee the quality of works to ensure it is to an acceptable standard and that any issues are resolved in a timely manner.
• Promote a strong safety culture within the engineering services team, ensuring compliance within an ever-changing safety environment.
• Assist the Engineering Services Management team to develop, implement and review department specific policies and procedures.
• Lead regular meetings with Engineering Services personnel to ensure the efficient and timely flow of information throughout the department.
• Conduct training needs assessments of engineering services personnel to identify skills shortages and potential training opportunities.
• Resolve minor grievances and elevate issues as necessary.
