Job summary

Stanwell Corporation Limited in Tarong, QLD, is seeking a qualified Electrical Fitter Mechanic for a full-time role at Tarong Power Stations. You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance on a range of plant equipment to keep plant availability high.

The position requires a trade certificate and current Queensland license, hazardous areas competency, and strong safety awareness. It also involves CMMS use and potential design input for improvements.

About the role

This is a full-time opportunity located at Tarong Power Stations.

The Electrical Fitter Mechanic carries out preventative and corrective maintenance to a range of plant equipment, systems and processes to help ensure plant availability and reliability.

Key activities include:

• Perform routine and breakdown maintenance on a broad range of plant in accordance with procedures.
• Complete all job requirements (i.e. order equipment, test sheets, calibration results, maintenance history).
• Provide input with design and implement modifications to plant and equipment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, reliability and performance.

About you

• Trade Certificate - Electrical Fitter Mechanic
• Current Queensland Electrical Fitter Mechanic Licence
• Hazardous area experience (UEE42622 Certificate IV in Hazardous Areas - Electrical)
• Heavy electrical switching experience
• Experience in a Power Station environment or post-trade experience in a heavy industry environment.
• Sound computer skills, including use of CMMS and technical documentation.
• Strong safety awareness and working knowledge of HSE, environmental and quality requirements.
