Job summary

Sigma Design is seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician III to perform complex prototype builds, execute advanced testing, and support development efforts. This role will guide junior technicians and own test setup deliverables, troubleshooting, and documentation.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in electrical prototype environments, strong schematics knowledge, and expertise in data acquisition, characterization, and test reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in electrical prototype environments.
• Deep understanding of schematics, component function, and test strategy.
• Fluent in test data acquisition, electrical characterization, and debug workflows.
• Skilled in rework, modification, and detailed documentation.
• Strong collaboration and cross-functional communication skills.
• Demonstrates leadership through initiative and mentoring.
• IPC Certification strongly preferred.
• Strong written and verbal English language communication skills.
• Excellent teamwork/interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
• Demonstrate commitment and adherence to Sigma Design Core Values.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex prototype builds and test setups from minimal documentation.
• Lead or support troubleshooting at the component/system level.
• Conduct characterization testing and produce test reports.
• Suggest design improvements and influence development activities.
• Support mentoring of Technician I/II team members.
• Manage quality, timeline, and delivery of assigned tasks.
• Follow Business Technology policies to protect sensitive data and reduce information security occurrences.
